Tech Support?

Time to exit, stage left…

I have had an incredible time writing these blogs over the last couple of years. While I have never actually managed to get a good schedule down for writing them on a consistent basis, I always enjoyed getting some time set aside to do so. So it is with a heavy heart that I inform the regular readers of the TechTalk blog that as of now, there will be no longer be any updates to it for the foreseeable future. We will leave the page up though, for anyone who still has lingering questions about any of the “How-To” articles we have written, or just want to watch one of our videos again. So thank you all very much for just reading my (and my colleagues’) articles, it has been a pleasure.

Avoiding having to do this more often.

Avoiding having to do this more often.

So I figured it was a great time to take a look at how to extend the battery life of your iPod or your iPhone…and who better than Apple to tell us how to do so?

A lot has happened in the world of technology this week. Adobe announced their Creative Suite 5 on Monday. Apple announced their new MacBook Pro line on Tuesday. And in between it all, Apple revised their iPhone SDK (Software Development Kit) agreement, effectively killing what people have been clamoring for on their iPhone/iPod Touch. Getting that video to your computer

Getting that video to your computer

The holidays came and went and Santa was very nice to you. He came down the chimney, ate your cookies, drank your milk and left behind a brand new 5th generation iPod Nano. As you head out to meet the family for breakfast, you figure it might be nice to capture those moments on your new toy. A week later, you open your email to find one from Aunt Suzie asking for a copy of the footage you took, only to realize you don’t know how to get all that video off your Nano. And of course, there are no instructions included on how to do so. That’s where we, the TechHub, come in.

The Holidays at the TechHub

The Holidays at the TechHub

Finals are over and the stress of school is gone for a few weeks. Now is the time to pack up and head home during this period to visit the family for the holidays. That’s when it hits you, “I never did any holiday shopping. What am I going to do?” And let’s face it, as a college student you probably don’t have much disposable income lying around to purchase these gifts with. So why don’t you just head over to the UC Davis Bookstore TechHub and put those gifts on your student account. And while you are there, pick something up for yourself and tell the folks it was a book you needed for class…
